Reading is a great way to spend one on one time with your child but it is important to make reading fun so that your child enjoys reading books when they are older.  Books allow your child a chance to improve their reading, listening, and other communication skills that are necessary for your child’s development.  In fact, by the time your child goes to kindergarten he or she will begin reading books on their own.  Parents can begin reading to their baby when he or she is still in mommy’s tummy, babies begin hearing around the 20th week of pregnancy.  It is important to choose age appropriate books for your child so that you don’t overwhelm them.

About What Daddy Does”?  2nd Edition

Mommy Tell me a story about what daddy does

2nd Edition

This book is intended for children ages 3 to 6 years old and would be a perfect addition to add to your child’s reading collection.  The book has a wonderful story line and awesome illustrations so that your child can visually understand the story.  In this story a young boy is sitting at home waiting on his daddy to get home from work.  His dad is running a few minutes late and asks his mommy to tell him what his dad does all day at work.  So his mommy tells him a story about what his dad does each and every day.  You can read the full review of “Mommy, Tell me a Story About What Daddy Does?”  The second edition of this book has the same story line and illustrations; however, the author added some information about the book for parents to read, a few questions at the end of the book for an interactive story time, and two pages that your child can color.  Note: Parents you should photocopy the coloring book pages so that your child can color them multiple times.
