1. Maternity Pillow

One thing that pregnancy can make you is exhausted. However, it can be difficult to get comfortable to get a chance to sleep. What can help, though, is a maternity pillow and they aren’t difficult to make for yourself either! The pillow that we will look at here isn’t for back pain, though, but rather for helping support your stomach and to keep you from rolling around at night.

The main thing that you need for this is a firm, king-sized pillow. The first thing you will want to do is to measure how large of a gap you are comfortable with in your pillow then rip the seam of the pillow and take the stuffing out. Then measure the gap in the center of your pillow and sew down the lines on either side of the gap. Finally, you are going to want to restuff the two actually pillowed parts of your pillow.

2. Maternity Band

Another issue you’ll run into during your pregnancy is that you outgrow your old clothes fast. However, with a trick like a maternity band, you can keep some of your non-maternity clothes lasting a little longer. With a maternity band, you can cover the part of your stomach that peeks out between your jeans and shirt or even cover an unbuttoned waistband.

This craft is rather simple and you only need to make a long tube of fabric and sew it at the ends to make a band. It is better to use a “stretchy” fabric so that you can wear this band throughout your pregnancy. For the full walkthrough of the project, you can look here.

3. Maternity Dress

Let’s face it, even with a maternity band, you aren’t going to always want to wear your jeans. Sometimes, you want something a little looser and more free. That’s where a maternity dress comes in.  It isn’t just a comfortable piece of fabric to drape over your body and make yourself decent for company, though, it is also rather fashionable so you can feel cute even on your most frustrating days.

4. Maternity Skirt

If a full dress isn’t your thing, don’t worry! You can also make a maternity skirt in a just as simple process. Here, you will find the tutorial on how to make a simple maternity skirt that will keep you fashionable and comfortable as you come to term.

 5. Countdown Shirt
