The Little People Wheelies looks like lots of fun. Of course being a very good great aunt I would probably go for the musical instruments—my niece would want to kill me-just like my friend did when I bought her son a xylophone many moons ago. She still reminds me of it!!

My youngest actually got the V-tech drum set last Christmas and it is one of his favorite toys. It isn’t as long as I thought it would be and it is educational too.

Yes, I really want one of those tablets to play with. I agree the toys have changed over the years and there is some cool stuff on the toy shelves for them. 😉

I am all about simplicity…It scares me- that 2 years old..have to have such toys- that will interact with them somehow. I would prefer simple blocks, sticks, paints and crayons…so they imagination and different ‘survival’ skills can develop at that age..

Patricia, I like a variety of toys for my youngest son to play with. I do love the pretend play ideas as well because it does enhance their creativity.

The VTech InnoTab is a slam dunk in the kid-friendly tech gift department. We had the opportunity to review the InnoTab last year and loved it! I would probably stay away from the musical instrument type gifts, only because while fun for kids, I know that they would drive parents out of their minds!
