I break my day down into blocks; I spend a good hour with my daughter in the morning over coffee. Then I go to work till lunch, spend a bit of time with her. Sometimes we play for 30 minutes before I have to go back to work. My day ends around 6 p.m. and I spend the rest of the evening playing games, reading and hugging my daughter. I try to give her encouragement in every way possible. It’s the little things like watching a cartoon to hugging her with love that shows her that I care and I want the best for her.
If you work at home, take some time off during the day to spend with your child. You could do it in the morning before the go to school, at lunch break or have an early day. Spend some time doing something fun and educational. If you work outside the home, try to spend a little time with them before you head out the door and have a family night on the weekends. Children are our future; the time we spend with them can determine their position in life.
