Medela Symphony Preemie Breastpump comes with the preemie initiation card.  The card is also inserted into the breast pump and helps record information about your pumping sessions.  The information can be given to a lactation consultant or health care provider to determine if your pumping enough to build your milk supply for your baby while he or she is in the NICU or unable to nurse from the breast.  The pump is designed to help mothers meet the challenge at getting enough milk from the breast to adequately feed your baby breastmilk, without the need to supplement formula.

Medela Symphony Breast Pump Plus Battery Pack

The symphony doesn’t come with a battery pack, the pump relies on you to find AC power in order to operate the pump.  However,  the Medela Symphony Plus has a rechargeable battery standard.  This model would be great for busy mothers on the go.  The pump would allow you the mobility to pump anywhere.

If you can’t afford a hospital grade breast pump, I can highly recommend the Medela Pump in Style breast pump. It is affordable and it can handle pumping several times a day. I personally used this breast pump 4 to 5 times a day when I was breastfeeding my youngest son. It was still going strong the day I weaned him and it can be used for subsequent babies.
