I have heard a ton of great things about doing yoga during and after pregnancy. Did you know that you can even use your baby to enhance your workouts? I did this after my pregnancy with my older son because I wanted to get back into shape and tone up my muscles. I was shocked that I actually got a good workout from doing Yoga and using my son during my workouts. Today I wanted to share with you some tips from Tina Hamilton on how to find Mother and Baby Yoga classes to fit your schedule.
Yoga has been used a form of self-expression. It is a way to relax, breathe and get in touch with yourself and what you really need. What mother wouldn’t want to share those experiences with her baby? Mom and baby yoga has grown in popularity all over the world not only as a new fitness fad, but a great new way to connect with your baby.
Mom and baby yoga classes are the best way for you to educate yourself on the practice and learn what will work best for you and your baby. However, if you are already familiar with yoga and you want to do a short mom and baby yoga workout from the comfort of your home, there are options for you. Here are some tips and ideas to help you start your at-home mom and baby yoga practice today.
Find Classes on the TV to Follow Along With
Until you better understand the sequences and know what positions will work best for you and your baby, it is really helpful to find a video to follow along with. There are countless sources you can use to find a video format and instructor that you like to follow along with. Search the Internet for videos or find Satellite TV Deals that offer mom and baby yoga instruction videos.
If you are more familiar with the poses and sequences of yoga, you can search for specific poses to do with your baby and try each one out. Create a good sequence that you and your baby enjoy and repeat whenever you find a good moment.

I think it’s such a great idea to incorporate Yoga with your baby after pregnancy! So many mothers think they can’t do anything or they have to find a sitter that they forget it is important to now find ways to incorporate your baby into your life! =) Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for visiting Heidi, I always loved playing peek a boo with my baby. I would put my baby on my legs and roll up and say “Peek a boo”. Then I would roll back down and pull baby up over my chest and do the same thing. Sit ups with a baby attached = great ab workout.
We did baby yoga too! I loved it.
That is awesome Kristi, thank you for visiting.
