A few days ago my older children noticed another child had a Captain America shield and they wanted surprise my youngest son with his own shield. This is an easy craft idea and it only takes a few minutes to make your child their very own Captain America shield. You will need the following supplies:
- Paper plate
- Red marker, pen, or paint
- Blue marker, pen, or paint
- Pencil
- Electrical or Duct Tape
Directions for Making A Captain America Shield
Use a pencil to lightly draw a circle in the middle of the plate.
Then light draw a star in the middle of the circle.
Draw another circle towards the edge of the bottom part of the plate. (see photo)
Draw another light circle around the edge of the plate. (see photo)
Color the outside edges of the star using blue marker, pen, or paint.
Color the inner circle of the outside rings using red marker, pen, or pain.
Flip the plate over.
Use electrical or duct tape to create a handle so that your child can hold onto the sword. You can fold duct tape in half length wise or place two equal length pieces of electrical tape on top of each other.
Then tape the handle in place. Leave enough slack in the tape handle so that your child can put their hand underneath the handle.
