Organize a Competition
Organizing a competition is a perfect idea, especially if you have two or three kids. The more, the funnier they say. You can organize a cleaning competition and give a prize for the one that will perform the tasks in the most effective way. This has a stimulating effect because we all know that kids adore taking part in competitions. Rearrange the tasks between them and make it clear from the very beginning that they should make real efforts in order to receive the prize. If you make everything as a game the kids are more likely to be interested in the cleaning process and therefore they will show more enthusiasm when performing each of the cleaning procedures.
Leave Fun Notes with Special instructions
One very innovative idea to make Spring cleaning a pleasant experience for the kids is to change your approach. Try writing several fun notes that give your child special instructions for cleaning. You can write some tips how to clean something in the best way and to leave smiley faces around it. In this way the kids will be curious to read the notes and to see how to follow the advice.
You can also leave all the cleaning instruments next to the note, so that the kids will know exactly what to use when starting with the Spring cleaning.
These are some of the ways through which you can encourage your kids to take part in the [amazon_link id=”B00C8QJYDS” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow” ]Spring cleaning[/amazon_link]. Do not forget the fact that you need to choose the right approach because each child reacts differently when it comes to cleaning duties. Make sure that they can amuse themselves while they help you with some of the household activities.

You nailed it with this one. Kids will do most anything you want them to as long as you make it fun. Who said work cannot be made fun? Who said kids can’t learn while having fun doing those things that need to be done?
Exactly Cheryl. I personally love cleaning when there is music on.

Thank you for visiting Dr. Diana. I agree that cleaning should be fun and enjoyable or you should at least try to have fun while doing it. 🙂
Thanks for the tips! I have had my kids compete against each other when it comes to cleaning up and it always works!
