Today, I wanted to share with you a fun recipe that I came up with several weeks ago. I went to the grocery store and bought some popcorn. I also grabbed some microwaveable white chocolate and some Valentines day candy. This recipe only took me about 15 minutes to prep and everyone loved the popcorn.
Ingredients needed:
2 bags of Pop Secret popped popcorn (lite butter or no butter works best)
1 package of white chocolate
Valentine’s Chocolate Coated candy (either M&Ms or Sixlets)
Wax Paper
Small Cup to Melt Chocolate in the Microwave
Fork
Cookie Sheet
Huge bowl to enjoy popcorn
Directions:
- Pop two bags of microwave popcorn according to the instructions.
- Allow the popcorn to cool off for a few minutes.
- Remove all of the popcorn kernels from the popcorn.
- Line a cookie sheet with wax paper.
- Spread thin layer of popcorn on the wax paper and save the rest of the popcorn.
- Place two pieces of microwavable white chocolate in cup and follow directions on package.
- Stir chocolate until it is smooth.
- Using fork: spread chocolate over popcorn using a back and forth motion. (it took a bit to figure out the process so that the chocolate didn’t come off in huge clumps but don’t worry if it is does it still tastes good)
- Allow the chocolate to cool for about 15 minutes.
- Then place the chocolate covered popcorn and the rest of the popcorn together in a huge bowl.
- Mix the popcorn together so that it is evenly mixed.
- Top popcorn with Valentine’s day chocolate candy.
- Enjoy!
Look at this beautiful centerpiece!!!
This would be perfect centerpiece for your Valentine’s day party! I used a white sheet and put down a strip of wax paper. Then I overfilled the bowl so that there was popcorn on all sides of the dish. We even put white chocolate on the wax paper.

This looks so good! Can you come and make me some? 🙂
That would be a ton of fun to have a blogger’s party. 😉
Oh I can see the infused white chocolate in there! Yum!
P.S. popcorn is such a weakness of mine and so is chocolate, and now you have me making this tonight! 😉
I hope you enjoyed this. The white chocolate kinda blended in with the popcorn. I should have added some food coloring.
This sounds really good- and pretty simple! Thanks for sharing!
Your welcome.
I have never tried making popcorn this way and adding chocolate. Will try to do it one of these days for the kids. I’m sure they will love eating it 🙂
This was my first time trying it. It was so good too.

Glad to find this, my mom was looking for a recipe similar to this. I'll need to share this with her.
My kids would love this Popcorn!! Looks really taste like a butter and sweet,.
Love a sweet and salty snack. Real tasty looking.
Simple but yummy—my favorite type of recipe! I must confess I've never added candy to popcorn, but I do love kettle corn that's sweet and salty, so I should give this a try. Thanks for sharing!
I love the combination of sweet and savory popcorn. The flavor satisfies multiple layers of our palette. Yum. 🙂
Yes it does. Thank you for visiting.
This particular batch didn't have much butter on it. I got the pop secret 94% fat free. It had light butter and salt. I loved the combo. I plan on trying it again with regular chocolate too.
This is the very first time that I had tried it too. I am not a fan of caramel popcorn. This recipe was so much better and it looked almost too pretty to eat.
Thank you for sharing, I hope she enjoys my recipe. 🙂
I hope you enjoy it. Popcorn that isn't loaded with a ton of butter is generally low fat. As long as you don't overdo the chocolate, its a tasty treat. 🙂
I hope you enjoy this tasty snack. 😉
My kids would love this. Popcorn is a regular occurrence in the house!
Simple recipe. My family will love it! Thanks for sharing!
